Our client is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems in our manufacturing plant

You will be working hands-on with heavy industrial machinery, including weigh-up machines, mixers, moulding machines, presses, ovens, rotators, and Dynometers.

This role initially starts on a day shift (6:30 am – 2:30 pm) but will require flexibility to work an afternoon shift (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm), eventually transitioning into a permanent rotating day/afternoon roster

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot faults, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and monthly safety inspections on building installations, appliances, and factory equipment.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and PLCs.
• Read and interpret electrical engineering schematics and technical drawings.
• Work with the Engineering Manager to design, modify, and improve the factory’s electrical systems to meet future capacity demands.
• Conduct electrical testing (like lead tagging and calibration) to ensure correct function and safety.

What You Need to Succeed:

• A current NSW Electrical Licence (Qualified Supervisor) / A-Grade Electrical License.
• Proven experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens), SCADA systems, and VSDs.
• Strong understanding of the latest Australian electrical standards, WHS regulations, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and fitters.
